Are you getting ‘open URL: Roblox Protocol’  screen pops up when playing the game? Don’t worry we are having the solution for this issue.

Method 1: Clear Cache and Cookies

1. Go to Chrome.
2. At the top right corner, click More symbol —> Settings.
3. From that, click Advanced.
4. Under that “Privacy and security” choose Content settings.
5. Click Cookies.
6. Under “All cookies and site data,” click Remove all.
7. Confirm by clicking Clear all.

(Or)

Press “CTRL” + “Shift” + “Delete” keys in Windows or Linux, or “Command” + “Shift” + “Delete” keys on MacOS.

Select “Menu” > “Settings” > “Advanced” > “Clear browsing data

Method 2:Use incognito mode.

This helps to detect if you suspend your extensions temporarily, causing any rendering problem.

1. Go to Chrome.
2. At the top right side , click Menu New Incognito Window.
3. A new window appears.
4. In the top corner, Choose the Incognito icon .

Method 3: Reset Chrome settings

You can try the resetting of google chrome flag. For this go to chrome and type the following in address bar.

chrome://flags

In the next window, select Reset all to default.

Method 4: By replacing some commands

• Go to search box and Type Run.
• Now type %appdata% and press OK.
• Go to Appdata on the top
• Select Local–>Google–>Chrome–>User
• Open it with Notepad.Now press Ctrl+F and Find ”protocol_handler”:{“excluded_schemes”:{}}
• Replace with :{“excluded_schemes”:{“ROBLOX”:false}}”

Note: After installation of Roblox it ask for Launch the Application.Before that make sure you are check the box Remember my choice for all links of this type and proceed with launch Application.

Final Words:

Actually this bug is with Chrome 63. This Chrome 63 does not remember custom protocol association. This bug notes is already updated.

This was corrected recently in Chrome 64.0.3282.119. You can check the update notes.
